Where there’s Craft Beer, there’s probably a beer snob from Colorado trying out the new local brew. Barns and Beers was inspired by the amazing options of local breweries that Colorado has to offer. While looking for a place that could combine the beauty of Colorado, the endless local beer varieties, and perfect ambiance, I found a newer venue that opened in March of 2020, The Covey. After visiting the venue, I was able to see it all come together, some could say this location had me brewing!
There’s no better way to tie in the Barns and Beer theme by serving the Beer directly from the Barn. The Covey offers personalized beer taps and a double sided bar with a window for serving outdoor guests.
As you explore this venue, you’ll notice the master craftsmanship in the metal working. It is all done by one of the owners of The Covey, Lloyd. He is incredibly talented as you can see! The gazebo, fireplace, gate, bathroom design, curtain rods etc., display his extraordinary skill to make this venue shine!
Every groom will tell you that his bride takes his breath away the first time he sees her. The Covey offers the perfect bridal reveal moment. The large doors and elegant walk down the aisle, your significant other will be brought to tears once those doors are open. Add a beautiful presentation bouquet for flair, and you have a moment that will stay with you for a lifetime.
A wedding venue wouldn't be complete without a little extra glam! Everyone I bring to The Covey, walks in, and the first thing they say is “Wow, look at those Chandeliers!”. They are absolutely stunning. Their intricacies and character can elevate any event!
The ambiance and views from this barn venue at the foothills of the front range, allow for incredible photos. The lighting and location make it easy for photographers to get the perfect shot every time!
With the beer theme, the florist and I had so many ideas about the variety of centerpiece opportunities that we couldn’t choose just one, so we created a few! Some using florals, some using bottles, and even a few growlers. The toasting glasses had to be splashed with a little hops too. Don’t worry, not the beer kind! You would be remiss, if you left out the “Cheers! To the bride and groom” cake topper.
As a planner, I always like to throw in something unexpected into a wedding design. The hops within the greenery and stationery was a fun and subtle way to incorporate the theme. However I wanted something that would make a visual impact as well. I built this wall out of crosshatch backsplash to add shine and glam to the sweetheart table’s backdrop. It ties in the rustic barn silvers with some of the design work that is reflected in the metalworking. It highlights the couple and leaves their guests with a wow factor!
All that is left to say is, go visit The Covey to host your wedding or next event,
grab a beer- you know you want one,
and CHEERS to a great decision and stunning event!
