Downtown Denver Wedding with Industrial Style- Jeremy & Emily

It all started off with a Catholic Wedding ceremony for Jeremy & Emily. The church was on the Denver campus. It was a beautiful old church minimally decorated.

The cocktail hour and reception were held at Mile High Station in Downtown Denver, CO. Jeremy & Emily were drawn to the space because of its industrial nature and easy location to downtown where they were all staying at a local hotel. The cocktail hour was held on the mezzanine and the reception on the main floor.

Also on the main floor was the Lounge Area composed of Jeremy & Emily’s actual home furniture, like from their real house. It would soon make up the exact living room in their home together.

Something that stood out to me about this wedding was the many different rentals. The couple explored many options to find the exact pieces to make up the wedding day look. This included contracts, delivery & pickups from 3 different companies to get the look they were going for. One company had a small farm table for the sweetheart table and one company had the large #FarmTables . They also rented specialty X back chairs and cushions, pipe and drape, and many candles. They even lit up the staircase for people for cocktail hour. This set the ambiance right away.

Other décor was made up of cheese cloth, floral arrangements with the ever popular toffee rose. Smaller bud arrangements, candles, and table numbers. The head table and family tables also had clear name tags, a unique approach to place cards. The menus provided carryout over the arch theme that we saw in the signage.

The florist created not only bouquets and boutonnieres but also the centerpieces and bud vases, and reusable aisle pieces that were moved from the church to the photo backdrop.

Every couple wants to add the special pop, for the Bells it was their personalized #NeonLight . The groom said that this neon light will hang in their house together as newlyweds. They also plan to use the neon bar light at home too! Sounds like that will be fun memorable décor to always remind them of their special day.

Other signage was provided as well for a welcome sign and seating arrangements. They decided on the cute phrase, Your Table Awaits for the seating chart. It was 3 parts to give it dimension and was finished off with a lovely floral arrangement at the base.

They wanted a way to incorporate their dog, but being in downtown Denver, it was not likely that it would physically be at the wedding. So, they choose to provide bar napkins with their dogs name on them instead! They were so cute!

The cake was a work of art. It was not only iced but decorated and iced with ornate floral designs. But the real win for this cake was that it was 100% gluten free. The couple had many family members that are gluten intolerant so instead of having just an option for these dietary needs, they made the whole cake and macaroons gluten free. Then everyone could eat it without worry.

Music was the final large theme throughout the wedding.

The ceremony had a quartet at the church, cocktail hour had live musicians that played guitar and sang, and the reception brought it home with a DJ. Jeremy had planned a surprise song for the private last dance too… But one of the most spectacular musical components of the day was the song that Jeremy wrote for his bride and released on Spotify on the morning of their wedding. The last point to discuss is transportation. It is a key component to the wedding day, and often not thought about. That was not the case for this couple. They got around in style! They had a Limo that brought them to and from the church, and a get a way car for the end of the night. However, you have to finish off this homerun of a wedding with… you guessed it, a sparkler send-off!
