As summer progresses and things begin to green, I get excited about florals. However, not being blessed with a green thumb, succulents are my passion, as they are hardy enough to survive in my house. Everyone I know has one on their office desk or in their cubicle, so I thought if these little greens inspire us all at home and at work, why not inspire a wedding?

Succulents can be small, which can create a challenge when switching gears from being a small desk ornament to statement pieces for a head table. However, it came together with an eccentric vibe of tying the old with the new. Young green succulents and cacti brought the table to life with their bursts of green and new growth. When we added the mix match china pieces, the table began to have a very eclectic look to it. Adding in the final touches of trendy glassware, the mix was beautifully unique.

Our invitations kept the southwestern theme as we incorporated cacti into the envelopes and place cards. Keeping stationary fluid in the wedding theme can elevate the guest experience as well as create a memorable memento for the couple and their guests.

The hair piece was the signature floral element for the shoot. It tied together the bride’s look, the stationary, and the head table. Having the fresh flowers and real succulents made this barrette look incredible in the model’s blonde hair! Her succulent sprinkled bouquet added texture and a twist on the typical wedding bouquet.

Stove Prairie Ranch has so many perks. I describe it to people as the stone farm buildings that you would see in Scotland, but just happen to be here in Colorado. It has an upscaled barn feel to all of their buildings, except they actually have farm animals. With horses and llamas on site, the photo opportunities are endless! You could even have a flower llama if you were so inclined.

Your photographer will jump for joy when they see the endless opportunities for perfect shots around the stone buildings and a beautiful stone gazebo for breathtaking ceremonies. This space creates a magical ambience that could be used for almost anything, from weddings at the gazebo, to Tivoli lights gently illuminating a reception or cocktail hour space. Yard games are a perfect addition for your guests to enjoy the outdoor spaces.
