This was the garden wedding of all of our dreams!! Alissa & Anton got married this labor day weekend at the Denver Botanical Gardens. After their time getting ready at the Ramble hotel the bride and groom spent a few minutes touching up in the gardens on site getting ready rooms.
The Woodlands Mosaic Ceremony
The gardens have several beautiful spaces, the couple chose to have their private ceremony in the Woodlands Mosaic, a beautiful greenhouse. This couple wanted an intimate ceremony where they could focus on their love and have their moment privately.
Personal Touches and Hidden Details
Before the ceremony we decided to have a last minute first look, it’s such a special moment we couldn’t pass it up! We kept ceremony decor simple, having a simple and beautiful floral arch to add to the scene. In the greenhouse set a live keyboardist who played the instrumental version of the Jurassic Park theme song for the processional! Jurassic Park played a role in this couple’s love story and they hid small dinosaur details throughout the day. I was obsessed! They even had a terrarium dome with mini dinosaurs that were holding the rings, so creative! We began the ceremony with a planner, photographer, musician and the couple present. There are very mixed opinions in the wedding world of private ceremonies, but this couldn’t have been more perfect and beautiful for them.
Behind the Scenes Reception Preparation
Behind the scenes at Annuals Pavilion planning, catering, rental & florist teams worked hard to create a stunning reception space. This couple was super interested in the design component of the wedding, and it paid off 100 times over! They spent months prior to the wedding working with our team and Catering By Design to build a cohesive and personalized design they loved! Catering By Design is a more full service catering company that provides teams for designs, furniture rentals, bar, catering & florals!
Cocktail Hour in the Greenhouse
Soon enough all the guests arrived at the greenhouse where we repurposed the space for cocktail hour. It was a beautiful time with passed o’dourves and live acoustic music. The couple was able to sneak away from the crowd for a few minutes to see the set reception space. This is such a good thing to make time for, this is the only time your reception space will be empty. Take a moment and take it all in, bring your photographer as well!
Breathtaking Dinner Setting
Soon enough guests made their way to the dinner location. We are obsessed with the table and sweetheart table design. Dinosaur dome table numbers, beautiful candle sticks, fairy lights, bright florals, wooden tables, it was stunning. The mix of colors and textures made for a truly breathtaking sight.
Delicious Desserts by Backyard Bakeries
The dinner was immaculate and was followed up by the most beautiful cake and cupcakes from Backyard bakeries. The florals on the desserts match the theme and surroundings perfectly, can you believe they are made out of frosting?!
An Evening of Celebration
This was a shorter reception with guests leaving at 9pm, but there was still plenty of time for guests to enjoy signature drinks, live acoustic music and the peaceful serenity of this location. The couple ended the night with a private dance as the sun fell and even the ducks in the garden lagoon came to watch!
